The Death Month

Water

This month your card is Death. Something is ready to end, or needs to be named as already over. The energy supports real release, the grief that finally moves, the threshold you've been standing at that's ready to be crossed. The thing to watch: the Death month can tip into clearing more than needs clearing, ending things from restlessness rather than readiness. Ask whether the thing is actually done or whether you're just done with the difficulty. Then let what's actually finished go.

The card behind the month

Your month card is Death, one of the twenty-two Majors. Here’s what it means at full length.

Death is the part of you that lets something end so something else can begin. It is release, transformation, the clean cut that makes room. Its endings are transitions, not punishments.

Read a Death month in the almanacWhen a Death month comes around for you, the living almanac reads it the day the month turns, then walks the daily cards inside it, personal and collective, alongside your Bearing.

All twelve months, walked with you

This page is one month’s theme. A subscription walks every month as it comes, each a step forward through the cycle, brings in how your Bearing meets it, and lays the daily cards inside it side by side, personal and collective.
